Four Jr. Senators named to CCHL All-Star team

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League has named its official All-Star squad that will face-off against the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees this Saturday night at 7:30 PM live from the Jim Durrell Complex.

The team, which is assembled with many of the top 2001 and 2002 birth year players currently in the league, will have a big task at hand, facing an older opponent like the Gee-Gees.

William Desmarais, Simon Isabelle, Thomas Freel, and Julian Recine have been named to the team as the Jr. Senators’ representatives.

Kyle Makaric will serve as an assistant alongside Renfrew Wolves bench boss Ryan Leonard on Hawkesbury Hawks Heach Coach Rick Dorval’s staff.

Also, Head Equipment Manager Carmelo Pugliese and Head Athletic Therapist Dr. Laura Creppin were named to the staff.

“I’m proud of the guys,” said Makaric. “I know they will show well with the work they have done early in the season. I’m a huge beleiver in USports Hockey and am happy to be involved in a game like this in any capacity. It’s great that Carmelo (Pugliese) and Laura (Creppin) are also a part of this event. We have excellent people in all roles here at OJS and it is nice to see their inclusion also.”

There will be a practice and team meeting held Wednesday to help the players and staff get comfortable with each other prior to puck drop Saturday night.

You can catch all the action with Davide Disipio and Mason Detre on the Jr. Senators Broadcast Network at Mixlr.com/OJSradio with a 7:20 pre-game show.
